ARMS deployed in Madagascar — Marine Ecology & Evolution. Environmental change. Ecosystem Restoration.

Members of our team, including Dr. Gildas Todinanahary, Emma Gibbons, and José Randrianandrasana, deployed limestone ARMS in Ranobe Bay, Madagacsar in late 2022 and early 2023. These ARMS will cure or “seed” for one year, acquiring the biological components of a healthy reef, and then will be moved to artificial reefs to jumpstart community and ecosystem growth on the artificial structures.
